| Awesome! I Feel Like I Made a Difference in a Shelter Animal's Life! Success! Ok so for those of you that don't know... my friend and I had a Bake Sale today for the animal shelter. We went to the animal shelter both knowing we couldn't do another animal. We go there every once in a while and I am about to volunteer there but this time was just different and we decided to make a difference. So we made lots of drinks and human treats and dog treats too! It was adorable! At evening time it really picked up. We were doing it for about 12 hours. So let me say this... we got a little OVER our goal and I don't really want to say how much that was just because you know.... but let's say it is enough for the shelter to get something done with! It wasn't a HUGE amount but it wasn't small either especially for a Monday (we kinda had to do it on Monday becasue of schedules). It was like 90-95 degrees out but we kept right on working! When we met our goal we were so excited! So tomorrow we are taking it to the shelter. We are just so happy it worked out well and now we can make a difference in an animal's life. We had flyers telling people why they shold adopt, about puppy mills, and about spaying and neutering. Let's just say this: It Was Worth Every Bit of Work We Did! |

| You and your friend should both be really proud of yourselves! And I am sure the shelter staff will be really appreciative of all of your hard work! |

| Any way you can help, whether it be by donating time, supplies, money or with educating others is time well spent and yes, you should be proud. |

| That is so awesome!
Huge grats on your success.
Let us know how it goes with the shelter, as well as how your volunteering goes. I'm sure they'll be so excited when you show them the hard work you did with your bake sale. It's very admirable and wonderful. |

| Thanks! Although "pride goes before a fall" I guess we are a tiny bit proud! And Gunwy, you CAN do it too! That would be AWESOME!!! Your shelter would love it! I went with my friend today to give them the money and they were so so happy. My grandmother was there and she put it this way "You guys are celebrities too them right now." I don't think the shelter is used to people reaching out to them that way. They are starting a book of fundraisers and stuff and are pictures and information is going to start it out and we are also going to be in the newsletter! They were so kind to us. They said they are glad I am going to start volunteering. We had the whole shelter staff in there with us... it was amazing. I expected them to be happy but no that happy.... it was, like I said, worth every bit of work we did! They are having a huge event that I am going to bring my dog, Dixie too in September and they are also having a Halloween walk on a trail here and I'm going to bring Dixie to that too. I am going to support the shelter in every way possible from now on. By the way we are already planning our next bake sale..... |

| I think it is so awesome what you and your friend did! It's really remarkable and you deserved all the applause you get. I agree with your grandma, I bet you were their celebrities right then. I love the idea you had, and then you carried through with it, and that's so cool. Thank you for sharing with us as you put it in works and then followed through! You should feel good about yourself because you did a really lovely thing. You sound like a really wonderful and caring person and your shelter and all those pets (when you volunteer) will be so very-very fortunate to have you there with them. |
